Music Bib Dance Party

And so begins the fear of teaching (and, probably suffering sitting through) the music bibliography research methods class.   It's my 10th year of teaching the music bib class in the fall here at Ithaca College, and it's time to change things up a bit. This blog is titled "No Falling Back," because I do not want to fall back on using past assignments and readings, and I know that there will be plenty of times that the easy path would be to use what I'm familiar with.   Students this semester are doing two shorter annotated bibs and are writing blogs where they discuss the readings. Already, there's more thinking going on -- the blogs are an insight into the individual, and allow them the chance to work out issues with their larger projects -- I have high hopes for this year!
